Stephen Kasun Short Biography:
Stephen Kasun is a full time artist, with studio-galleries in both Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC. He paints daily at either locations, and welcomes visitors.
His oil paintings are a highly evolved and polished example of what a lifetime of dedication to the art of oil painting brings. His expressive and fluid style is very unique, in that he exclusively uses palette knives and thick impasto oil paint to convey an exciting visual energy.
"For almost 3 decades, I have been drawing and painting and honing a unique visual language that I hope transcends time and space. I believe all painting should be melodical, and regardless of the subject matter, I want the viewer to "feel and hear" the "song" in the painting.
Stephen Kasun was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1975 and received his art education from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, University of Cincinnati, and Memphis College of Art. Besides his own art galleries, he is represented by many others, including Chasen Galleries in Richmond, VA; Parke Schaffer Fine Arts in Philidelphia, PA; RDZ Fine Art in Miami, FL, and the Catalyst Gallery in Orlando, FL. His work has been featured in such publications as American Art Collector Magazine, American Artist Magazine, Maxtalk Magazine, Encyclopedia of Living Artists, and New Art International. He is in hundreds of public and private collections, and has done many commissioned paintings, including a large scale project for the Omni Hotel Corp.
